PS exchage

Oh boy! I went for a walk tonite and checked the mailbox......guess what was in there? Yup you got it my PS ornament from Marie Pasternak. It is breathtaking. I absolutely love this ornament. Halloween and Autumn themes are my favorite and I love pumpkins and cats. She couldn't have picked a better design for me. She did it one over one also. Sooo many stitches. It gorgeous. Marked stitched it from book #90 "Spring & Fall". I am super happy with this ornament. Thank-you so much Marie.

My roses are looking amazing. Jim and I spent this morning cleaning out the garage and getting rid of some stuff, donating some stuff, and reorganizing the rest. If you breathe deep I bet you can smell these roses.

Good Morning

Here is a new giveaway to give a try for.
Blackbirds Designs Giveaway!

Another nice day here in Indiana. Got some work done on my PS exchange and it is almost  done. Not sure how I am going to finish this one but I am looking forward to having it finished by tomorrow. Looking forward to watching American Idol. I am voting for Scotty but Lauran is really good too. Felt bad for Haley last week but I knew she would be the one to go. Though of all of them she is the most musically talented for sure. I think she will go really far anyways just like most of the contestants do.

We had some major T-Storms yesterday evening. I am terrified of loud thunderstorms why? Because I am afraid of tornadoes. We had a whopper of a cell go through and it had been producing tornadoes. The sky got dark and part turned an eerie orange color. Jim had to hold me for a little while till the danger of tornadoes was past. I have never been in one. Have you. Don't forget to look back for my first giveaway.

Have a blessed day,
Sarah Beth

Found PS pattern!!!

I found my pattern for the.PS exchange. Well actually God found it for me. I was talking with Jim on the phone walking around.the house trying to find my.exchange work that was missing. I was going out of my mind I'm frustration when it dawned on me for us to pray together. I had been praying by myself but there is power in numbers when it comes to prayer. So we prayed and we both.felt we would find them before Jim got home. As I was still on the phone I looked in a pile of stuff I had looked through a number of times and I'm the middle there it was. Yea God. You rock!!!

Roses

Oh boy my roses are.covered in buds and almost ready to bloom. I can hardly wait.

My flowering bush looks so pretty in white.

And what is spring without Buttercups blooming. I haven't seen these since I was a little girl. These were by the mailbox.

And as I was walking back look what I found...

Some kind of caterpillar. Wonder if there is a way I can keep it to watch it hatch. Any ideas anyone? What kind of container should I keep it in?

Wed. I got to see a quilt show and will post on this next.

Happy Thursday

Have you ever gotten into.a cleaning spree and then misplaced something.really important. Well I did. I've been working on my snowman ornament and.my spring PS design . Well I can't find.them and I need them for exchanges at the end of the month. I can always do another snowman ornie but I only have the one.PS leaflet that I bought special for this exchange. Grrrr!
Please pray I will find it soon.

I'm still on cloud nine over the giveaway I won from shawkl (Kathy). I love everything so much. One of my favorites is the.cute hat pins. I will make a pin cushion soon to poke them in and show them off.

Jim bought me this stuff a while back and I wanted to show it off to you. I think most all of it came from half price books and many were a dollar or two in the clearance section.

This is a book called A Year of Cross Stitch by Jodie Davis. It's from the Jodie Davis Needle Arts School. It really has some beautiful stuff in it. The design pictured is called Village Sampler. It uses CW thread and also DMC flower.threads. jolly forward to making it sometime. There are other samplers, beaded cross stitch, and more.

This one is called Patchwork Pantry by Suzette Hafferty.and Carol Porter. It is really nice with some exciting quilts and.delicious recipes. Some I can't wait to try for Jim and I. This book is.well written with.beautiful photos and quilts.

The others are all quilt books. Can't wa?nlĺ

I love this embroidery pattern transfer book by Current. The animal pictures are so cute. I have always loved stuff by current.

Here is a really nice home decor book by Coats and Clark. The step by step instruction is amazing.

Indianapolis Air Show

Jim and I parked near Mt. Comfort Airport and watched the air show. Our favorites were the two below.

This is the Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon . It was nicknamed Hot Stuff. It is huge. The fighter jets looked puny next to it. Like little ants.

And this was the Heavy Metal Jacket Team. They were amazing. They flew overtook of us real low and I could see the pilots in their cockpits. The paint job was pretty awesome too.

There were other planes too but these were the best.
I am stitching in the car inbetween acts.

Napkins

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.( Mark 4:39 )

It sure is a comfort to me that Jesus can calm the storms of our lives. Of course sometimes he chooses to calm his child instead...that is if we let Him. I don't know.about you but I often wallow in my uneasiness and anxiety for awhile before I focus on Him instead of me. It seems at that point everything changes. I pick up the Word and find comfort. Or the Lord just speaks peace into me through His Holy Spirit as I finally begin to give up my way of dealing with things. Then I choose His way and that always gives me peace. I want to challenge you all along with myself to read His Word every day. I promise you if you are seeking shelter from lifes storms you will find peace as you get to know God more intimately. Ask God to show you want He wants for you to know that day. The reward will be greater than anything you've ever experianced before. If you haven't already asked.Jesus into your life then I recommend starting with the book of John. It is the heart of the Christian faith and if you want to begin to know Jesus in a personal way this will help you to begin that relationship. If you desire salvation in heaven all you need to do is very simple. Just admit to God that you have sinned . None of us can get to heaven of our own strength or by being good enough. That is why Jesus died on the cross. He paid the sacrifice for our sins with His life. In order to get to heaven by works we must be perfect without one sin. Jesus is the only one who never sinned. So he paid our debt for our sins by going to the.cross. Next tell Jesus your sorry for your sins and tell Him you want Him to be your Savior. Then my friend you will be saved and a new creation. Praise Jesus!!!

I finished the two completely. What do you think of the background fabric. It's nearly ten years old. I had purchased it to make scrub tops when I was working for a home health care company. I had enough to cut out four placemats to go with it. Maybe I will even embroider a white tablecloth with the same design as the napkins. What do you think?

This was.at Angel's house in front of her house. Since it is such a dreary day here I thought the flowers would give you all that springy feeling:)

Jim and I had our first practice with the band and went through over 7 songs. It was awesome. Everyone is really talented and it sure feels good to be playing in a country band with my honey babe. Can't wait till our next practice.

I'm going to work on the placemats and the other two napkins. Blessed stitching.

Fun afternoon out.

Went to the luncheon with the Home Economics club last Sunday. We had such a good time. They had a beautiful deck at Angels house.

Here everyone is in the kitchen enjoying ourselves.

And here is the second napkin all stitched up. I only have two to go.

The needlebook exchange has been cancelled due to only one signing up. Maybe next month I will try again.

Our church had a revival Sunday through Wednesday. It was wonderful and such a blessing. God led me in the right direction that I was seeking him about. God is sure faithful.
Blessed stitching,
